PLA and PETG are the two most popular 3D printing filaments — and the two most common sources of confusion. Here's how to choose.
Choose PLA when…
You want the easiest, most reliable print. PLA prints cool, sticks well, and gives crisp detail — perfect for models, prototypes, and anything decorative. EmberForm PLA Enhanced adds extra strength and speed over standard PLA.
Choose PETG when…
The part needs to survive heat, impact, or the outdoors. PETG is tougher and more temperature-resistant than PLA, with good chemical resistance — great for functional parts, containers, and brackets.
